Pros
I am really surprised at the recent reviews posted about EMP. I have been meaning to write this review for some time. I worked at EMP a few years ago in the Registration Department. I really enjoyed working with the team including management, who were very supportive even through difficult times. We were a family regardless of what other reviewers have said. Unfortunately the company decided to go a different direction and downsized their Registration department. I could see that it was a difficult decision for management to make. They were very supportive in helping me to find another job. I think that some people don’t realize that business is business and that the unfortunate reality is that layoffs occur. I think it’s a shame that people use Glass Door and other review sites to air dirty laundry instead of giving honest feedback. I know that when I read “ranting” reviews, I tend to take the review with a grain of salt. I still remain in touch with some of my co-workers. I would hope that none of them wrote these negative reviews. EMP is not perfect, but what company is. I can tell you that the grass is always greener and each job brings with it different pros and cons. I learned a lot from EMP and am thankful for the experience.
Pros: Travel, paid time for weekends and late nights, bonuses, flexibility with work hours and work from home days
Cons
Hours can be long during peak seasons - but that's the event business! Management does pay for long hours and weekends.
