Highway to Employment Hell - Finance Elite Group Employee Review

Pros

Break room with sofa - great space to compose yourself and question your employment choices. There's many pissed off staff, so at least you always have someone to cry with.

Cons

If you're reading these reviews before interviewing/ accepting a job - please take a note of the job titles and how they correspond to the star rating. If you're looking for a job in Sales/ Account Management/ HR - I'm sure you'll have a great time here. However, if you're looking for a job in a finance/ engineering/ faults role - do yourself a favour and walk away from this one. As other reviewers have stated, there is a "Magic Circle" in Elite, mostly made up of the sales team, HR, management, and directors. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in this circle, great. If not, you'll be joining the rest of us in employment hell. You will likely experience bullying from staff in management roles, find yourself wondering just how's it possible for the sales team to be this incapable of selling a working solution, have all your issues ignored/ dismissed by the HR department and to top all of this off, you will likely also not be being paid a fair wage. If the company had to publish staff turnover numbers it would paint a very worrying picture.

Thank you for your contribution to your department over the years, we value your feedback on Elite as an employer. Elite Group offers a variety of different roles and all of those roles are integral to the business's success. In our fast-paced and changing industry, it is important that our management team and HR team are aligned, to promote fairness, equality, and success in every department across Elite Group. We have recently undergone a company restructure, which has allowed us to properly review salaries, workloads and policy consistency across all departments within Elite. We have recognised areas where we can improve and are making changes where necessary. Elite Group reviews employee turnover regularly and benchmarks against XpertHR metrics. In 2018 – 2019 Elite Group was 1.58% lower than UK average turnover and in 2019-2020 after seeing the first impacts of COVID-19, Elite Group was only 0.03% higher than UK average turnover rates. Our Learning and Development and Sales teams have collaborated over the past year, resulting in a highly thought out induction and training plan. This has been rolled out for all new starters within the sales team to ensure our complex solutions are understood by every salesperson, sold and implemented correctly – right first time. We are now in the process of introducing new induction and training plans across all departments. Our aim at Elite is to give all employees the tools to shape their own careers, whether with Elite Group or taking opportunities at other companies. Elite Group works hard to look after the well-being of every employee and welcome suggestions as to how we can improve on this even further. HR and management review employee feedback through anonymous surveys, regular wellbeing calls, and daily manager check-ins/outs as well as scheduled one-to-one meetings. HR is on hand to support all employees and offer guidance in employment and personal related matters affecting them and deal with each query on a case by case basis, reviewing all factors. Elite has a strict anti-bullying policy and any allegation is followed up, paying the utmost attention.
