Cons
Oh goodness, where do I even begin? Although the hiring process was easy, I quit after the second day of training to be a Sales/Client Service Specialist. 1.) On the first day, I immediately noticed why this place has such a high turnover rate. To begin, my studio manager told me right off the bat that my schedule would be permanent. What I thought was that I would work the same days but different hours each week. WRONG. Whatever schedule they give you in the beginning is what you get, NO EXCEPTIONS, which is complete crap if you ask me. I am a college student and informed my manager what I would do if my school schedule changed, and she told me tough luck which means: "Don't know don't care." 2.) Pressure to sell memberships is crazy. 3.) Everything about this place is a sale. Of the two days I was there, the studio manager stressed that "Elements makes sure that people are cared for." That is complete CRAP. They only care about scheduling clients for the longest massage sessions possible because they want your money. It's all about making money with this place. 4.) To even request off is a nightmare. Say you needed to go on a vacation in June and its January now- even if you requested off MONTHS in advance, you would still need to find someone to cover your shift. What's the point of even requesting off then???? 5.) Of the two days I was there, the therapists and receptionists participated in drama, and that is talking behind each other's back and saying things about one another that should not be discussed in front of clients. Seriously get it together. 6.) With only 3 or so receptionists working at one location, you are basically on your own. If you need help with something, there is no one to ask for help. 7.) The studio manager was nothing but someone who barked orders to me and the other person who was training with me, which made us feel super uncomfortable. How can you expect two new employees to have the drive to work for a company where the managers immediately scare them before they even start fully working? 8.) This was one of the worst work experiences I've ever had to go through. No wonder this place is hiring left and right. They can't keep people and I wonder why.
