Pros

A good company to have on your resumé, nice building with excellent facilities. The benefits are excellent with stocks and pension packages as well as medical and dental cover. You will have the chance to work on some high-profile games which are likely to do well in the market. EA only employs the best so you will be surrounded by talented and fun co-workers which means you will learn from them and gain some excellent friends and contacts. The company offers some excellent opportunities for learning and diversifying and will encourage you to try new skills and learn new areas.

Cons

Long hours are sometimes neccessary in the games industry, but EA seems to be one of the worst at working these into the schedule of their projects rather than using them only as a last measure. Mandatory, unpaid overtime for many months, not just towards the end of the game or during the "crunch time" seem to be the norm. There is immense pressure to work weekends and holidays and fear tactics are used by management if you don't stay late and work lots of extra hours. As a resule morale is low with people generally afraid to speak up for fear of repercussions.

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
