Pros

If this was 5 years ago I'd have way more pros, but as of right now the only pro is your colleagues. They've been consistently the best part of the job. And I guess their competitive pay, but I would argue it's more like gold handcuffs.

Cons

In the past 5 years EA and it's studios have gone downhill. The constant layoffs make you feel like you're always on edge never knowing if you'll have a job next week. Your performance doesn't matter in the end. If the company doesn't hit their arbitrary sales goals that execs set, lower level employees who have no control over the performance of the game get laid off, while leadership and execs constantly get promoted. They've also forced return to work while cutting employee incentives like holiday parties and other similar activities, all while saying they want us to return to studios for the "culture" and "connection". Overall, leadership has become out of touch and employees are unhappy.

Pros

Fast paced startup mindset in an established corporate ladder

Cons

Privatization might cause headcount reduction, change the tempo and culture in the organization. 🤞

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
