Pros

Exposure to AAA live-service development on major franchises (EA Sports FC, Apex Legends, UFC). Experience working in Agile workflows with Jira for defect tracking. Opportunity to test across multiple platforms (console, PC, mobile). Working on recognizable titles adds value to a QA resume.

Cons

Limited career development or skill-building opportunities for QA testers. Management provided minimal transparency about project timelines, priorities, or role expectations, making it difficult to understand how testing work contributed to larger goals. QA was rarely included in planning discussions or given context beyond task lists, creating a transactional work environment. Testers often treated as interchangeable resources rather than valued contributors. Office culture felt exclusionary at times, with informal networks forming primarily among certain groups, leaving others on the periphery. No structured mentorship, training, or advancement pathways for junior QA staff. Work became repetitive with little variation or opportunity to learn new testing approaches.

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
