      Pros

      I would highly recommend an aspiring CPA and current accounting student to intern at EisnerAmper. The knowledge and hands-on experience that I gained throughout the course of my internship is invaluable, and will help me in the next phase of my professional career. The culture and people at Eisner are both incredible. The firm puts a strong emphasis on mentoring and teaching opportunities, which I felt was consistent with my experience. Moreover, I felt as if I was working with my seniors and managers, rather than for them. Specifically in the Real Estate audit department, I was surrounded by encouraging staff, managers, and partners alike, who seemed to be personally invested in my success. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would certainly recommend an internship at EisnerAmper!

      Cons

      The only con I can come up with is that towards the end of my internship, as deadlines approached, I was left at my desk twiddling my thumbs. However, I do not think that this is specific to EisnerAmper, since there is only so much an intern with limited accounting knowledge can do when it comes to the more advanced aspects of audit procedures. I like to be busy and helpful, and I felt as if my time could have been better spent, but sporadic boredom seems to be an inevitable part of any intern experience, and I am greatful that I can truthfully say this is my one complaint.

      Pros

      I've been with the firm for 6 years, starting at the associate level, and some of the most foundational moments of my career have happened here. The culture is genuinely a go-getter one — from staff to partner, people show up with real guidance, not gatekeeping. As a Black woman now in a management role here, I can speak to this directly: performance is what gets rewarded, full stop. I've asked for what I felt I'd earned and gotten it. Leadership has shown up for me in ways that go beyond the job — present for milestone moments in my life, invested in me as a person, not just a line on a chart. If you're willing to put in the work, this firm will invest right back.

      Cons

      Tax season hours can run long — that's pretty typical for this industry, but it's worth knowing what you're walking into. The pace and accountability here push you to grow fast— if you're looking for something more hands-off, this might not be the right fit.
