Pros

- Edwards is doing great research to create the best heart valves around, and it's rewarding to work here - CEO Mike Mussallem is personable and a steady leader - The benefits are pretty good - There is flexibility with telecommuting - Edwards is charitable - Good investment in training/conferences for employees

Cons

- Business Units are very disconnected due to size and scale of company - Processes to achieve change are not very efficient, so a simple change can take weeks or months - The company is "1 man deep" in many areas, so if a critical person is busy or on vacation, you can't get the help you need until they return - People are expected to be available 24/7 to support the company - Parking on main campus in Irvine is very busy (stack parked by valet), but that should be fixed when the planned construction of a new parking structure is completed
