Pros

Great study program - very comprehensive study for passing the Series 7 and 66 and you get paid while studying. Good organization overall and well respected in the industry. Treat clients well and have a high customer satisfaction as a result.

Cons

Working from home doesn't work! As a new FA, you can feel very LONELY working from your home, not only because nobody is around you but being new to the industry and getting rejected time and again over and over without having the camaraderie of peers and management to support you directly and without having a base of clients can get old very fast and having a list of "hotlines" for each subject is not a good definition of support. Most new FAs at Edward Jones have no industry experience and yet are thrown out to the sharks to "figure it out on their own". Not my way of feeling confident about a new job.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
