Pros

Strong leadership team that is approachable and open to new ideas. The CEO leads with clarity and calm, even in challenging times, and ensures the team stays aligned and motivated. Lots of ownership and responsibility - you get to work on end-to-end projects. Exposure to fintech + education finance domain, which is niche and growing. Colleagues are collaborative, and cross-functional teams (Tech, Ops, Sales, Marketing) work closely together. The engineering team is highly skilled and delivers with great quality, creating a strong backbone for the company’s growth.

Cons

Fast-paced environment can sometimes mean processes aren’t fully defined. Work-life balance depends on your team/project; peak periods can get intense.

Pros

Ahmedabad Office is the office where you should choose to work if you want to still join the company, because there you can find good humans, who you would love to work with, till the time they are working at EduFund. The Founder (M) is open to listening to the ideas and can make you feel heard and welcomed initially.

Cons

The biggest con in the company is the HR disguised as a People and Culture Head. The HR lacks human empathy, transparency, ethics, and basic fundamentals of HR; the HR function is to work as a smooth function between the team and the senior management, not worsen the relationship by prioritising their own self-interests. Execution of ideas is painfully slow; it will pass through multiple layers of approval, get stuck, and rarely be implemented. The attrition rate is so high that, in my short tenure, more employees have exited the company (not removed, mind you) than the fresh joinees or those who even completed their full year. Compensation and appraisals are not performance-driven or skills-driven. Visibility and self promotion is more rewarded than actual output. If you know how to self-praise your work, even pressing the ENTER button will get more appreciation. Candidates are often promised a pay range during their interviews, then their compensation is lowered in the final round, even lower than the promised pay range, to "cut costs". The management wants you to work more, and it is rational if the work pays you well with the industry standard and more importantly, if your work is respected. Here, FEEDBACK IS ABUNDANT AND EASILY ON THE FOUNDER's LIPS, WHILE APPRECIATION IS SO HARD TO FIND, you just lose your motivation to go the extra mile. The company claims to be a tech-led startup, yet none of the original core tech team remains, which is a self explainer of how the company handles its talent. A few months back, the exits were too much, and the ratings here went so low that the founders had to pressure the employees to post fake good reviews to boost up the ratings. Do not even USE this company as a stepping stone for your career, because it will only demotivate you to keep working in the Startup space. There are many less successful but very well-managed startups with good culture out there.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at EduFund did not meet your expectations. We understand that workplace experiences can vary based on individual expectations, roles, and stages of one’s career. While we may view certain situations differently, we respect your perspective and acknowledge that the experience was not a positive one for you. At EduFund, we strive to foster a culture of learning, transparency, and continuous improvement. We actively encourage open communication and aim to address concerns constructively whenever possible. Many team members have grown with EduFund over the past three to four years, reflecting our focus on long-term development. At the same time, we recognize that not every professional relationship is the right long-term fit, and in such cases, moving on can be the healthiest outcome for both the individual and the organization. We appreciate the feedback and wish you success in your future professional journey. Team EduFund

Pros

If you consider getting no company laptop, no WFH and no transparency a plus then go for it.

Cons

The company has a toxic PIP culture where employees are relieved around appraisals with the help of PIP mails. The manager works in tandem with the HR to ensure they meet their monthly attrition targets.
