Pros
Welcome to the "gig economy", where you can work in your own time, but you're barely paid enough you cover your rent. Not only this but the team are so badly organized and the briefing is so confusing that you'll be asked to rewrite your articles because they forgot to provide you with the correct information. I have 15 years' experience and I have never been taken for such a ride.
Cons
If that's the pros, well here's the cons... On top of that, they'll charge you 4% of your meagre earnings to pay you (ever see the episode of The Deuce where the mafia cashes the construction workers cheques for a fee - well, it's the same here, it's probably illegal but you agreed to it in your contract). And then you have to wait to the 15th to be able to ask to be paid, and after that they'll take at least a month to pay you, so you could potentially have to wait two months for payment.
