Pros

Some nice colleagues Good brands to work for Compensation is fair

Cons

Disorganised tech team structure (non existent QA, and very ancient messy tech infrastructure) High turnover (many people are leaving or have left in a short time) Terrible culture - people are overworked, low morale, high absenteeism (some colleagues take sick leave every week for months and get away with it), poor communication Job scope is different from job description so do ask lots of questions if you’re interviewing Lack of transparency to clients and you’re expected to cover up for a lot of the company’s incompetencies *This may only apply for my team and work environment so do your research accordingly

Pros

Good benefits. Laid back atmosphere. Fast paced. Great work life balance. You get to challenge yourself on a daily basis that allows you to feel a sense of accomplishment.

Cons

Management Culture: The organization suffers from a lack of accountability at the upper management level. There is a frequent "finger-pointing" culture rather than a focus on collaborative problem-solving. Operational Disorganization: Internal workflows and processes are highly disorganized, leading to unnecessary friction in daily tasks. Communication Barriers: Significant language and communication barriers across global teams often stall progress on critical initiatives. Recruitment Transparency: The most disappointing aspect was the lack of honesty during the hiring process. The actual requirements and expectations of the role differed significantly from what was presented during interviews, particularly regarding flexibility and location. Technical Debt: The company struggles with significant operational inefficiencies and a lack of investment in modernizing its internal processes, which makes it difficult for high-level professionals to execute effectively.
