Where to begin with this place... I'd simply say, don't waste your time here.
After hearing that nothing has changed at Edelman Sydney, I felt I needed to write this review and I hope it helps someone internally take action, or if you are job hunting, please reconsider.
While it used to be a company that did some brilliant client work and decent internal moral compass, Edelman Sydney has simply lost touch, internally with their people and externally with their clients.
Firstly, you will be underpaid. Promotions are infrequent and usually only a few grand at best. You will always make more money elsewhere. They will tell you it's because of the awesome experience and the exclusivity or working at Edelman, but please know it isn't the case.
There are plenty of great agencies that will pay you more, with better perks, decent hours and less bullying. DO not accept less money for a 'title change' - really, that's just what's on your linkedin and email signature, but do not let this place justify an insignificant pay rise as compensation for a new title, that's just one of the ways they keep you stringing along.
HR is simply out of touch. They are so ill-equipped to deal with a modern workplace. Their behaviour towards staff with mental health issues is completely unacceptable and goes about as deep as saying 'I understand' and referring you to a counselling hotline, rather than directly dealing with the issues at hand.
For an agency that rolls out senior individuals out to promote how they are mental health leaders... it's simply not the case. Look inside your agency before you start campaigning for a value that you truly don't live, then jump back on Mumbrella and preach about it.
