We were honestly shocked to read this review, and a few tears were even shed. They shouldn’t be, because the internet is a funny place, but at the end of the day, we are people and humans. It matters a great deal to us to be open about feedback, yet we cannot link what has been written to any role that has ever existed here or to any feedback raised in the many open and anonymous sessions we have run over the years. We reached out to the only person who has ever held a project’s role with us, and they confirmed it was not their words and told us they were equally shocked to read them. The review was also updated to remove mention of another agency, which we appreciate, and we have been in touch with them in case it was misdirected.
Ecrubox is proud of its award-winning culture, its flat and open leadership, and its absolute commitment to data-driven strategy. At the heart of this is a belief that people should always be able to work in polite, friendly, welcoming and inclusive environments. We have gone to the ends of the earth to make that so, which makes reading comments like this even more upsetting. The days of agencies where people were afraid of speaking up or felt they had to bow down to leaders are long gone, and we would play no part in that historic and unpleasant world. That is a big part of why we launched Ecrubox, and we are proud of what we have made together.
We cannot help but feel this review may reflect personal relationships outside of the office that we are unaware of, but we want to stress how much we welcome genuine conversation. We regularly host open events in London and Worcester, where anyone is free to come and meet the team, although we do not have a Birmingham office. If this review was meant for another agency, as it originally suggested, please do let them know, as Glassdoor cannot automatically move it across.
Alex, Ecrubox
