Pros
Most of the people are friendly and it's a fun/casual work environment. It also has a really good work-life balance where just about every week is 40 hours (except the days you're on call).
Cons
Recently they started hiring people down in Chicago so I doubt they will keep hiring people at Wausau for IT related fields. The pay is pretty low for a development position and most of us aren't even bonus eligible. The main problem with this company though is upper management. There are so many conflicting people in upper-management that one person's "high priority" is completely different than someone else's. This leads to all resources going into one project only for it to be pushed to the side for 6+ months. They all want their ideas implemented and they want them NOW. There is also very poor communication like the renewing contracts because nobody got around to cancel them. Last point I want to cover is how middle management treats devs. They're nice and everything, but they treat our ideas like the scum that they have to deal with before they get stuff done. There's a pattern here, if you have an idea, management will hate it at first, but after ~6 months later, they will come back to you with "their own idea" completely discrediting you.
