Pros

Flexible schedule for those in school or wanting family time. Gives you an opportunity to do very rewarding work. The clients and co-workers are wonderful overall.

Cons

Poor pay for how much work you and mileage you are required to put in. Upper management doesn't seem to care about employees and helping out dedicated employees. Poor communication throughout the company. When it comes to getting raises or promotions, it feels more like a punishment than a reward because it is difficult to actually get these perks in a timely manner. They tell you what you want to hear to keep you happy so you won't leave and then never deliver. Very frustrating if you want to move up in the company and stay there long term.

Pros

At the time I was pursuing a career in Psychology and this was absolutely the perfect job to gain experience. You get to work with a lot of great kids and families and learn so much about Applied Behavioral Therapy! The Leads and Supervisors are really nice and helpful and know what they are doing. They will always pair you with a child you are comfortable with and are always willing to find more kids for you to work with. It's great if you are part-time and are in school. They are very willing to work with your school schedule. A lot of the times they will find another line to take your place and put you back with the family during Summer Break.

Cons

Working with behaviors is always tough. You will come across days where the child's behavior is really bad or the family is having some rough times. There is ALOT of traveling involved and they DO NOT pay milage. You will spend many lunch breaks eating in your car. The pay itself isn't so great when sessions only run 3-4 hours long and it's really tough to see multiple kids a day when a majority of them do to school during the day. Definitely not Full-Time work until you work yourself up.
