Pros

Work-life balance - If you are not very ambitious, it's a perfect place to be. They teach you from scratch - very detailed. Good to be there if you are about to start your career (they even teach you how to email people in an appropriate manner) People are not too bad.

Cons

The management team engages in some micromanaging (though not excessively) I understand their work involve so much different details. They have a hierarchical structure. While it may not be much obvious, you can easily tell. There's little opportunity for growth. After staying for a few months, it becomes apparent that there's not much left to learn. Daily tasks are extremely mundane and taxing. Despite being a relatively small team, there are limited chances to engage or learn from the management team, except when writing reports.

Cons

I recently went through the recruitment process for the Senior Research Consultant position at EUK Consulting, and I wanted to share my experience. 1. Initial Screening Process: The recruitment process began positively, with initial rounds seemingly designed to assess whether candidates’ qualifications matched the role. I progressed through multiple stages, indicating that my qualifications were deemed a good fit. However, I was informed at the final stage that the decision to move forward with other candidates was based on qualifications—a decision that seems inconsistent given the earlier rounds. It raises concerns about the clarity and consistency of the criteria used throughout the process. 2. Length of the Hiring Process: It’s worth noting that this role has been open for over two months. This prolonged vacancy could suggest difficulties in finding the right candidate or possible changes in the job requirements. It would have been helpful for candidates to receive updates on the status of the role during this extended period, as the length of the process naturally leads to greater investment from applicants. 3. Final Stage Feedback: After reaching the final round, the feedback provided was somewhat disappointing. The decision to not select a candidate after this extensive process appeared to hinge on factors that should have been addressed much earlier. At this stage, I expected more detailed feedback related to specific interview performance or other nuanced factors beyond general qualifications.

Pros

Good exposure to interesting blue-chip clients which means that you're at an advantage when applying to other jobs afterwards.

Cons

The work can be a bit repetitive and eventually just doesn't feel very challenging. Salary for an entry-level position is better than some competitors, but is still abysmal.
