Pros

Great (immediate) team. Excellent clients/projects on offer. Flexible working. Big UK presence. Well respected consultancy all round. Laptops, blackberries (once you manage to get one!) and a great health & safety culture. Your health & well being is put before anything else- not many companies do that!

Cons

Low salaries (well below market rate! Unless you are a partner). Prepare to be crushed. Working at ERM is a thankless job. Not much training/development provided. Pretty much left to develop yourself with little to no direction. Be prepared to be told to stick within your confines. Don't be too ambitious! It will scare middle management who are the gate keepers in keeping the lower graded staff down! To enhance their own promotion (I'm talking Principal consultants). Please don't take anything personal here- although you will soon become desensitised. Your timesheet is king! Keep your billable hours HIGH TO THE SKY! New starters are only generally hired on *the big uk project I won't name* very resource draining for those working on other, more beneficial projects! But that's for another day.

Pros

Interesting projects, flexible work hours, ability to pivot to new disciplines and teams

Cons

Employees are getting squeezed by increasingly difficult metrics, with less compensation, less work won because rates are now set so high. Less and less investment in employees through benefits and upskilling. Managers are spread so thin they can’t give time to their team.
