Pros

- Sociable, active, free drink on shift, decent hourly pay. Working in a coffee environment itself is great fun

Cons

Ran by people who are greatly detached from what it's actually like working in a busy store, will get away with minimal staff coverage (but maximum expectations), minimal breaks despite being on your feet and speaking constantly, rare to get any praise but nitpicking over everything else, constantly bringing out unrealistic time goals and standards yet bringing in more complicated drinks/scripts/food prep without increasing the target demand to make it achievable. The company give you 30% discount for ONLY you - even a parent or child doesn't qualify, no food free on shift (very poor to other Starbucks franchises nearby and own brand stores who gives you a £10 value to use each shift), eg would rather their stores run on no personlity or originality - strict uniform policy, scripts to follow that customers never do like as they're incredible fake sounding, holiday decorating no allowed. So much more I could say...

Pros

It's a job if you have nothing else

Cons

For the most expensive gas station somehow they manage to still be the lowest paid - only being offered a $1 raise for a leadership position when I have over 5 years of management experience is disgusting. They only care about getting people to sign up for rewards and will write you up if you don't get people putting in their number - they basically expect you to hold a gun to the guest head and force them to put their number in - district and regional management only care about juicing their bonuses while the rest of us struggle to pay rent every month - brought this up to regional manger over 3 months ago with a "I'll look into it" yeah right buddy..
