Pros

Field techs are great to work with, everyone helps out.

Cons

-micromanaging, not setup for success on projects, you find out the day of that you are on a project and have no time to prepare/get materials. Employees get asked on how to they can make changes but nothing ever happens. -unrealistic expectations for projects, lack of hours allotted.

Pros

The atmosphere is fantastic, from the techs to the ops team, across the BD department and up the chain into management. The willingness for all to push the ball in the same direction is encouraging for the continual success of not only the individuals, but the company as a whole. The work/life balance was a key decision maker of making the move to EDL, not only the ability to have that balance, but to have it actively encouraged is refreshing. While there is a knowledge gap for myself at the moment, in terms of the full HVAC/plumbing side of things, the support and willingness from the other team members has been amazing. A company that has a great culture, allows or encourages a healthy work/life balance, and a team that is open to teaching and supporting each other, signals the continual long term growth/success of EDL and all its members.

Cons

Backend systems are inefficient and time consuming. A CRM, more automated estimating and less manual input would speed up the estimating process, allowing for more allocation of time to the BD aspects, driving more cliental through the door. It is understood that this is in the pipeline and will be coming.

Pros

To be fair, benefits are decent.

Cons

The team culture has been markedly deficient. Opportunities for professional growth are minimal, employees are not treated with consistent respect, and genuine collaboration is largely absent. The overall work environment fails to provide the support or motivation that should be expected in a professional setting. The company’s processes change so often that teams are constantly scrambling to keep up. Communication between departments is frequently unclear or inconsistent, which only adds to the ongoing frustration.
