Pros
- Excellent work-life balance and company culture - Mutual trust and respect between superiors/seniors and juniors - Open communication encouraged - Opportunities to work on different projects and types of work and art styles --- ranging from character art, props, UI, concept, marketing art, splash art (photo/3D bash), pixel art. - Hybrid office-home schedule (some fully WFH, some fully WIO, some hybrid, but that may change once the new office is acquired) - Opportunities for growth and leadership. Leadership courses are sponsored by the company if you express interest - Art team leaders and seniors are very nurturing and precise in their feedback, you feel motivated to produce quality work
Cons
- Team is small-medium sized; sometimes the 2D artists have to help out with tedious time-consuming tasks from marketing side like exporting banners, localizing many game assets, e.t.c. This is especially prominent after 1+ years of working. The jump from variety of tasks in the first year, to suddenly mundane tasks for months has been noticed amongst other colleagues with the same job title. But I understand that the team is not big. - The company's game portfolio (as of this review) might be morally grey to some.
