Pros

While everyone's experience is different, these are my opinions. -Manager is awesome. Motivating, helpful, understanding. Best I've ever had. -Flexible schedule allows to have the work/life balance I need. -Opportunities to grow and move up/around. -Tuition reimbursement is a plus, but you have to be here two years afterward otherwise you have to pay it back.. so pretty standard. -Pay is competitive, not as great as Lockheed, L3, Raytheon, etc., but close. And there are many things that make up for the small pay shortfall.

Cons

-As with any government contractor, layoffs can be high depending on what department you are in. Luckily, I am in a pretty secure area. -Health insurance is now ONLY an HSA plan as of this year.

Pros

DynCorp International was a major American private military contractor and global government services provider, specializing in aviation, logistics, training, and intelligence, primarily serving the U.S. defense and diplomacy sectors. Founded in 1946, the company was acquired by Amentum in 2021, and its operations were merged into the new entity

Cons

DynCorp delivers training for multiple sectors, including security sector reform, interior and defense personnel in underdeveloped nations, and law enforcement. Since 1994 DynCorp has trained and deployed 6,000 law enforcement workers in 16 countries, including Iraq and Afghanistan. DynCorp is looking to partner with Raytheon as a prime or subcontractor on the Teach, Educate, Coach program, which is part of the Army's Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support program.
