Pros
Decent pay for the job as it's officially described- constantly monitoring individuals.
Cons
Grossly understaffed. I was told during the hiring process, when I was given a 32 hour a week schedule that I really liked, that it was "possible to pick up some overtime". The first thing my manager did was snap at me that the schedule his boss had given me was incorrect and that I had to work 40 hours a week, on different days than were on the schedule offered to me. Then I was informed that in addition there was a huge amount of unfilled shifts and if staff didn't "volunteer" to work them they would be mandated. Talk about an offer you can't refuse. Either volunteer or be forced anyway. I don't mind some overtime, but I immediately heard from more senior employees that they were working seven days a week, over a hundred hours a day, easily at least a month straight with no days off.
