Very uncomfortable work environment. Lack of tolerances by at least two team members to other cultures, which no one seems to address. No support from the management team. A few of the longer standing team members do bully the newer staff members. Laziness and stubbornness from a few of the longer standing team members, no support often on the shop floor from them at any time. Not an incredibly busy Dunelm, however a high stress Dunelm based on the fact there is little support on the shop floor. No genuine encouragement or appreciation for hard work. Colleague of the month is never a team decision, often selected from whoever is flavour of the month, and it is never a consistent thing either. The scratch cards for 'good work' are a patronising way to paise the behaviour of grown adults. Often feel over worked and over stressed, which has the most negative affect on life outside of work, personally I always just feels like catching up on energy and trying to recharge physically and emotionally on my days outside of work. People are moved around to different roles without any warning or choice. Pay is also poor based on the amount of knowledge you are meant to acquire during your time in the company.
