Pros
- Some very strong performers in the teams, great design, leadership, and engineering. - Family friendly and flexible. Most of the team has kids, or pets, or reasons for needing some flexibility and so far I've seen it very well received. - Very engaged userbase. Just check out the reviews on the MS store, Millions of people around the world love this product, so it's a pleasure to work on it - Impressive growth. I love companies this size that are growing quickly because there are always opportunities everywhere. - Founder works in the business, he takes on a lot of ownership and knows the customer base very well. It's great to work with a passionate founder with good ideas and loads of energy. - Very social and fun-loving crew. The Melbourne office can be a lot of fun on busy days
Cons
- For some people the growth means the pain of change. The business is constantly adapting to new challenges and that's not everyone's cup of tea. - The team is thinly spread, like any startup there is always a lot of prioritisation. Naturally things must be dropped or absorbed. - At times there can be a lot of "chefs in the kitchen", it's good and bad, good because everyone cares so much and has an opinion on what should be done, bad because it can slow down ideas.
