Is this your company?

Pros

My coworkers were my saving grace here. This was also the closest hospital to me so driving 5 minutes to work was nice.

Cons

There are really too many cons to name: 1. Pay is incredibly low compared to what other hospitals have to offer. I left and made $20/hr more than what I was making at Doylestown. 2. Management and HR are not responsive and rude. They will make you come in on your days off and I've seen managers fudge hours worked so they don't have to pay more. 3. No reimbursement from the hospital with anything. You don't have your fees for your license and not even the necessary paperwork from HR (FBI clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, etc.) gets reimbursed. 4. Extremely old technology. They use Meditek which is horrible and inefficient. The building I was in was extremely old and always had issues that would cause the staff to have to relocate or be severely inconvenienced. I've had several of my clothes ruined due to water leakage issues, and again no reimbursement from the company. 5. The benefits are bad. Lowest PTO I've seen (160 hours for vacations, including holidays, AND sick time to start and you don't get more until 5 years), medical coverage doesn't start right away (I forget how long it took to start) and no other 'perks' (once a year they give free food and that's it)

Pros

We are more often properly staffed than not (at least in ICU); it is not a toxic environment, no gossip, etc. Management is supportive. I actually really like it here and have no intentions of leaving anytime soon.

Cons

The pay could be better...new grads at other area hospitals make just $1-2 less than I do now with 16 years experience

Pros

I enjoyed collaborating with the team as a whole. It was clear that most employees truly cared about the patients and the impact they could have on the local community. It was a special feeling to be so closely connected to the residents of the surrounding area.

Cons

There was always a hard line between marketing and the fundraising teams. Each struggling to succeed individually. This resulted in some unneeded tension in that side of the organization.
