Pros
1. Great mission and genuine feeling like you’re making a difference 2. Staff doing the actual work go above and beyond for clients 3. PTO 4. Benefits
Cons
1. Leadership acts like mean girls in high school - will talk poorly and unprofessionally about you being closed doors but be kind to your face 2. Focus on older foundational programs are lost due to new programs coming in. No support and structure at all. 3. Immature leadership. Not sure how certain people made it so far. Not sure if any of them have any nonprofit leadership experience except for one. 4. No growth development 5. Cultish mindset 6. Low pay and weird about salary transparency 7. Safety concerns. Staff with other job descriptions handle escalated and disgruntled clients instead of specific hired and trained personnel. 8. Leadership cares more about clients than employees, yet you will never actually see executive leadership client facing if not for a camera op.
