Pros
job security only if you're friend or a family member.... no mater what you're capable of!
Cons
So, the company's got this funky thing happening where they're cutting loose folks in lower positions but keeping the big shots who aren't really doing much, especially if they're related to the CEO. Like, the CEO's brother is calling the shots as the CTO, and the CEO's brother-in-law is running Data Science, but who knows if they're any good? Then there's this cousin of the CEO who's just been moving around different departments without doing anything noteworthy. And then there's this other co-founder's buddy who's in charge of HR, but she's not great at it and spills all the office gossip, even about her own team getting canned. Seems like they're more into promoting their friends than actually keeping the talented folks, like your friend who's the strategy head. The company's always letting people go, but it's not clear if the legal team is doing anything to make sure it's all legit. And while they're busy firing folks left and right, they're also hiring new face in the legal department last week. Giving employees hope just to take it away with layoffs isn't cool, man. The CFO talks about cost control measures, but then they're moving into new offices, approving travels, throwing leadership parties, and enjoying resorts... but they can't pay the lower-paid people? Every time they fire someone, they celebrate the savings by splurging on trips to Goa, Lokhandwala... Where next?
