Pros

Discover Health genuinely prioritizes both employees and patients. Leadership is thoughtful, accessible, and willing to evolve as the organization grows. There is a strong sense of mission, clear accountability, and an emphasis on doing the right thing rather than taking shortcuts. The team is collaborative, and leaders invest meaningfully in people and long term outcomes.

Cons

Because the organization operates across multiple geographies, maintaining day to day cohesion can be challenging. Alignment requires intentional communication and structured touchpoints, particularly as the company scales.

Pros

There really isn't any structure or standards so if you're one to take advantage of the system, like most of the other office employees, this is the place for you.

Cons

It's a smaller company so they operate under the guise that everyone is "family" however unlike an actual family, if a situation or emergency arises that doesn't benefit them as a company you can be sure to expect a staff meeting when you're at your lowest point to discuss it further. Additionally, the company is out of CA so they don't do their due diligence in vetting their employees. For example, hiring a medical assistant who has never been a medical assistant and allowing them to give vaccines and medication without the appropriate certification. Rather than empowering their employees who show up every day and do their best, they enable the poor behavior of sub par (at best) employees. Expect to take on all responsibilities outside of your job description/scope because their administrative staff complain about having to fax and answer the phone (and management enables it).
