Pros
-One of the best teams I've worked on. I remember I had several job offers back when I was interviewing with Disco, but the hiring team I spoke to blew me away. That was the deciding factor. I feel like it's hard to find good teams and am grateful to be part of the one here at Disco. Everyone is an expert in their role and incredibly motivated. I always find working with high performers helps me grow and do my best work. Plus everyone is just like a genuinely great human. (Also hard to find!) Down to earth and fun to work with - exactly the people you want to spend your weekdays with. -It's a unique product hitting the market at just the right time. Ok, it's a strange time for us marketers. We got cookie deprecation on the horizon, consumer privacy changes and an uncertain economy keeping us all on our toes. It's been fascinating to see how brands are adapting to all this and to be able to offer an alternative approach at just the right time. I like that we are shaking up the usual ad network paradigm that favors large players (ie Meta, Google etc). How could brands work together to grow instead? We've found a scalable way to do this programmatically that also helps shoppers discover cool new products. -Transparent communication and laser focus on growth. Like all start ups, we've been riding various economic waves. I appreciate how transparent leadership has been in those moments and clear on what milestone we need to focus on next. -You get $100 / month to shop Disco brands! -Generous vacation policy and I LOVE that in addition, we get coordinated time off as a company (around New Year's and sprinkled in throughout the year). It's really nice for everyone to take some time off in sync because then you can really unplug.
Cons
-Start-up life, if you're not into that haha. Yup, it's a startup so things change quickly. You have to scrap plans, come up with new ones and adapt all the time. I personally enjoy this vibe, but I know it's not a fit for everyone.
