Benefits are not that good, very expensive and not very good quality.
Management has no idea how hard this job can be, with most days averaging 12-15 hours, with heavy drive time. It can really become exhausting. The company is getting so short-staffed, you can get worked into the ground and they do not care at all.
Because they are so short-staffed, you end up seeing some really unqualified people getting hired to fill the voids. This makes the job so much harder, because you will have to pick up the slack for some pretty incompetent people. Also, management is becoming really detached and could not care less about what you are dealing with each day.
The long work days are really hard, when you end up seeing 15+ patients in one day, and you are expected to get the work done quickly, so you will work 12+ hours with no break in order to get it done. Taking a lunch break is not realistic with the kind of work we have to do. Management knows this and they do not care.
There is virtually no advancement opportunity here. The way into management is extremely narrow and almost unattainable.
