Culture that eats away at morale with constant undermining - Account Coordinator Diamond Public Relations Employee Review

Pros

If you can ignore verbal backhanded compliments, you’ll survive.

Cons

Praise was followed immediately by criticism, creating a toxic environment where achievements felt sabotaged. One second, you're told you're doing great; the next, you're blamed for minuscule oversights. That constant emotional whiplash drained motivation and made taking pride in work impossible.

Pros

As someone who has real past industry experience and actually worked at agencies where work expectations can truly be brutal, hours never ending and nothing you do is ever good enough — this is the best job I have ever had and I can’t share how grateful I am to work here. If you want to succeed and have the grit, energy and passion that the hospitality and PR worlds require, Diamond is a place where you will thrive. Success in PR isn’t easy, but you will be surrounded and supported by people who will cheer you on and be a resource for you every step of the way. Your wins are celebrated and you are encouraged to color outside of the lines, empowering you to be the best you can be. Management believes in growing talent from within and backs it up by offering countless opportunities for junior team members to step up to the plate, offering way more travel, media event and conference opportunities than most agencies. Management gives everyone a chance to experience it’s travel clients, from a junior to a senior level, which is incredible as it’s one of the biggest appeals of the industry and usually a privilege reserved for upper management at other firms. So if you want to see the world, become a top dog in the travel PR space and learn from strong female leaders, this is the place to make it happen.

Cons

Agency life is fast paced everywhere as it’s the nature of the beast, but expectations at Diamond are realistic and reasonable, especially in comparison to other agencies I have experienced. We are known to produce results and it takes a village to make that happen, so everyone on the team has to pitch in to keep the machine’s wheels turning. Everyone at this company is important and valuable, so we depend on one another to make the magic happen!

Pros

You might attend a few fun events, just don't blink or you'll miss them while putting out fires.

Cons

This place glorifies stress and praises burnout like it's a badge of honor. Micromanagement is constant, and favoritism dictates who survives, not talent or effort. You'll be expected to juggle 20 accounts with zero real strategy or mentorship. Toxic personalities thrive here because leadership enables them, and feedback is delivered more like a threat than support. There's no balance, just exhaustion.
