Pros
The job can be very flexible, you can really dive into any subject that comes up in your projects which allows you to learn a bunch of different things.
Its a solid place to learn about manufacturing environments, optical components, testing techniques, and general engineering subjects.
The engineering team is inclusive and likes to spend time together.
Cons
There should be more engineers employed.
My manager was really busy, do not expect a "mentor".
The further you dive into the organization of the company, the more you get sucked in to trying to fix it. Try to stay with engineering new products and avoid trying to document old things
