Pros
Generally very engaged supervisors and very few toxic personalities on the program side than you find at other USAID contractors. Flexible work environment. Good benefits. Fun social events :)
Cons
Leadership too focused on Dexis as an asset and not a business that needs to be managed resulting in short-term solutions and lingering challenges that affect teams’ ability to succeed. Lord of the Flies mentality with everyone looking out for their own teams in the absence of cohesive and sound leadership. Patronizing head of HR who flaunts her irrelevant corporate experience and focuses on low priority but flashy initiatives while lacking the ability to support teams with more critical and industry-specific HR needs. Finance resists improving processes and updating resources so project teams work with outdated or inconsistent guidance. Contracts is perpetually understaffed and not able to provide the support that program teams need. Program teams lack understanding of basic requirements but too overburdened to build that capacity.
