Pros
Some really lovely, well meaning people.
Good training and CPD opportunities.
Lots of things to get involved with.
Cons
I eventually left - well, technically I was pressured out - because I was bullied by a coworker. Management were terrible in dealing with this and addressing the behaviour of the coworker, and after speaking with both ex-employees and current employees who have experienced the same, it seems there is definitely a pattern of toxic behaviour not being dealt with.
It is such a shame because I could've happily worked here for longer, but I just can't abide by injustice. It is also a shame I had to leave the way I did, not feeling supported while management continued to protect someone who has clearly a lot of power amongst the staff.
For a mental health service, I find it quite ironic that management would rather protect a toxic colleague instead of supporting the victim of targeted and unpleasant behaviour - that might I add, has caused an unbelievable amount of stress and health issues resulting from stress.
