Lovely people, but no opportunity to grow - Service Support Officer Devon County Council Employee Review

I worked for 7 years in various admin / office roles and NEVER progressed beyond the band I entered on. It's very rare for there to be a next step (such as a supervisor or officer level) I did achieve the next bay band once as a temporary secondment but then that of course didnt extend to permenant due to funding. I was constantly told by my team and my managers that I could be so much more but there was never a role / opportunity to do so. After 7 years I left for a lower paid role elsewhere but that atleast will give me a career ladder to go up!
