Pros
The students are always a pro here. Smaller school. no major behavior concerns, average classroom sizes. Smaller staff so everyone knows each other and gets along. Department and grade level teams to work together. The network offers some department trainings in Chicago every summer. You can work with other teachers in other states for PD or learning opportunities. The staff really does work well together and there is no competition from within.
Cons
The leadership team is in charge of all major decisions, they are more business orientated. Sometimes its hard for the educators voices to be heard. Salary is less than average. They do not reward long term employees but they pay new staff members more than veterans. Hard to get a higher salary or a promotion
