Partners are lawyers, not managers. And running a small law firm--especially one that operates at the highest levels of the legal profession--takes strong management. It seems like things have improved since I left, but the partners need to have a finger on the pulse of the firm and not get caught up in the "glory" of winning at trial and assuming everything is great for everyone.
