Pros
- Never expected to work past 5pm - very little actual work to be done, had a lot of free time during the day to pursue other interests
Cons
- Paychecks were irregular to say the least, sometimes there were gaps of 6-7 weeks between paychecks without explanation. When paychecks were late management wouldn't show up in the office or would all work after hours until the paychecks actually came in. - Employees with 401k had the money taken out of their paycheck but their money (and matching contribution) didn't make it to their account until we complained to the state - Family owned and run business and there are the family issues that come with, generally the employees bore the brunt of it (see irregular paychecks above) - we were encouraged to have "big ideas" but zero resources were available to support any sort of development - CEO had a seating chart for staff meetings he felt represented everyone's "status" in the company
