Pros

Death in service benefit, Chocolates at Easter, voucher at Christmas, It's a job,

Cons

Poor pay, over worked, under staffed, no progression, no professional or personal development, almost no training, very poor management decisions, zero respect for the service desk staff who are treated as the lowest of the low. Bullying from a certain SLT member is common. Actively work lower bonus payments to service desk and lower paid staff. Management claim to listen to staff but people that do are marked as trouble maker. Some staff told not to apply for other jobs internally as their faces don't fit. work life balance does not apply to the service desk. holidays across the service desk cancelled/blocked due failing SLAs when staff are not being replaced. Flexi time almost impossible for the team to claim. Overall culture of fear and negativity. Massive problems with simple solutions are ignored.

Pros

Delt is genuinely one of the most supportive and people-focused organisations I’ve worked for. There’s a strong culture of collaboration, flexibility, and trust, and people are encouraged to bring ideas forward and make a real impact. The business is going through exciting growth and change, which creates plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and get involved in projects outside of your core role. Senior leadership are approachable, colleagues are welcoming, and there’s a real sense that people want each other to succeed.

Cons

Pace can be fast at times due to ongoing growth and transformation - however I see that as an exciting challenge rather than a con!

Pros

Friendly organisation, interesting projects, remote working with only 2 days per month in office

Cons

lack of engineering resource to deliver projects - matrix managing engineers who are spread too thinly accross multiple projects - constantly firefighting issues with no let up leads to burn out and talent leaves. Management pressure to deliver more with less resource affects quality of delivery.
