Pros

Twenty word minimum to describe the pros at Dell. That sixteen too many. I get a paycheck. Yep, that's about it.

Cons

Over 10k jobs gone in the last FY (See SEC filing for Denali Holding Inc.). It's become a culture of layoffs and downsizing. Michael has to figure out how to pay down the debt. You can only do this two ways - cut costs or grow revenue. There is no plan/idea/play to increase revenue so the only way left it to cut cost. If you look at the people who do work (non management/non executive), they've cut the fat, cut the muscle, and are now doing searches in the bone marrow for anything else they can cut. Executives and upper management are still growing and being promoted. The sales force is increasing but with nothing compelling to sell, revenue continues to fall. Trying to grow via acquisition is like a dying star trying to stay alive by consuming the planets around it. It'll buy a little time but eventually, the star will go nova and explode. Dell is following the same path.

Pros

At this point? None honestly.

Cons

They did a complete 180 since I got hired. Came in as remote during COVID and now that they forced most people back to the office, they made us 3rd class citizens in the company. Can't get a raise, a promotion, any spiffs or even the same contests that the people in the office do. This company does not keep promises and has been constantly doing workforce reductions ever year like clockwork for 4 years now. The COO Jeff Clarke is an absolute clown as well, you have to go into the office dressed as business casual, but this guy goes to One Dell World in undersized lame t-shirts every year. Hypocrisy at all levels of this company. Just looking for a good opportunity and I am out, after talking to my co workers I feel like 70-80% feel the same. The tools also suck and are down half the time as well.
