Pros
Dell is a fairly safe place to work. They rarely trim the fat on sales. As an underachiever, you're more likely to be moved to another org/team than let go. Work/life balance is fine. Unless you have a really bad VP/Dir, it's not high pressure. They do emphasize D&I. If you're not overly ambitious you can move up (they do promote from within), you just won't make a ton of money while you gain tenure.
Cons
The sales culture is really weak. Most of the EMC people have left by now. Those that remain still operate somewhat autonomously in the storage divisions, supporting the core teams. Culture is really just your direct boss and his/her boss. If they aren't good, you're SOL. There's very little sales enablement, and the tools and processes are bad. Compensation is low compared to the broader IT/Tech sales industry, especially if you come up through the inside sales program to a field role. Organizations are very siloed and the company feels as large as it is (not a good thing).
