Pros
If you are a person that thrives in a competitive fast paced atmosphere then Dell is the perfect environment. It fast paced and there were always things going on , from trainings , vendor presentations, product launches and employee appreciations events. Also in sales at Dell, there were a variety of ways to make moeny in commissions and contest. So there was a incentive to work hard if money is what drives a person (which it is in most cases), along with that there was ample overtime opportunities. Lastly, there were plenty of giveaways, free gifts and perks that people got just for working at dell.
Cons
As with any sales position , it can be stressful trying to meet quotas. I would say the biggest downside of Dell specifically would be the scheduling. Being that computer sales can be seasonal, they never seemed to have the right amount of sales forecasted requiring massive amounts of overtime. To some this would be rewarding , getting all the hours you want means more money. For most it was awful, rarely getting schedule request approved due to overtime. Overtime was something that one would become aware of the day before it was mandatory or sometimes during a shift they would schedule mandatory overtime after your shift.
