Pros

Oh, what a splendid display of corporate generosity! As a listed company, Deliveroo truly goes all out—breakfast, drinks, a Christmas gift… all lovingly sourced from Lidl. How utterly lavish! Deliveroo and its unwavering commitment to diversity—provided, of course, that your community is large enough to matter. Otherwise, well, bad luck! It seems inclusivity is only for those with a loud enough headcount. How wonderfully selective!

Cons

The fine art of middle management at Deliveroo—a delightful spectacle of headless chickens running amok. A solid 98% of them seem to be in it purely for the perks, clinging together like some sort of corporate street gang, ensuring they're always in perfect sync with upper management while blissfully ignoring logic whenever an instruction trickles down. The pièce de résistance? At the start of the year, they brilliantly decided to play musical chairs with team leaders, swapping them around like it was some groundbreaking strategy. The highlight? Promoting someone with ZERO sales experience to lead a sales team—because, naturally, who needs expertise when you have favoritism? Now, these so-called "leaders" rely entirely on senior staff to guide them through basic tasks. Inspiring, isn't it? But wait, there’s more! The workplace itself? A soap opera in the making—hypocrites galore, daily dramas, and an unshakable commitment to NOT solving problems. Instead, they parade the same issues in meetings, nod along, pretend they’re working on it, and do absolutely nothing… for a year. What a masterclass in corporate efficiency. Truly, you couldn’t make this stuff up!

Pros

The company is presented as a young and dynamic environment, at least from an external communication point of view.

Cons

Unfortunately, the internal reality is very different. Career progression mainly favors people who are close to management or who know how to please the right individuals, while meritocracy clearly comes second. Losing valuable employees does not seem to concern upper management at all. Many department heads lack experience and competence, which leads to constant issues, misunderstandings, and organizational problems that directly impact daily work and team morale. The company promotes itself as “young and dynamic,” yet hires employees over 60 whose experience does not appear to be properly assessed or effectively leveraged, creating a strong inconsistency between image and reality. Salaries are not competitive compared to the market. Salary increases and bonuses are very low and demotivating. Benefits are either almost non-existent or purely symbolic.
