Pros
flexibility, hours (off alt mondays), stable once you pass your probation, most people are friendly. high leadership has vision, great to work under! good benefits. can earn yourself respect by doing a good job. has a family feel, people care about each other.
Cons
many career military seem to get their credentials and just phone it in. too much "thats not my job" attitude. Good ol boys club is bs. Do your job. Slow movement, no sense of urgency. Lack of interest in moving forward and improvement among some. didn't do it before, not going to start now attitude. employees going off to school for months and jobs simply left undone in the meantime, making it tough to get things done.
