Pros

You have chance to work with smart people on real problems in a wide variety of domains. By consulting, you usually work on interesting problems, rather than legacy or maintenance, and have hand directly helping clients solve problems. Additionally, Def Method does have a strong focus on the happiness of its developers. They work hard to find engagements that are in line with the interests, abilities, and ambitions of their developers.

Cons

Def Method is not immune to the problems of other consultancies. Clients are usually the major factor in determining the quality of life at work. There have been engagements that have been more trying than others, though management endeavors to give support and consideration to those on more difficult clients.

Pros

- The team at Def Method is genuinely interested in developing their talent and provides supports each employee's career growth. And this is aside from the professional development budget and time that everyone is encourage to take full advantage of. - They take work-life balance seriously and care for the well-being of their employees from being flexible about remote work (and becoming remote first post covid) and providing paid parental leave in addition to the basic benefits. - You work with a really diverse and intellectual team of people - They take their core values seriously and all employees exhibit these values: seek to understand, humility, curiosity and succeeding together

Cons

Not really a con, but it's consulting work so you roll on and off projects and sometimes may not have much of a choice in type of project - but even then they make sure you are happy with the work and find ways to accommodate your career growth plans
