Pros

Low work pressure, some of the initial folks are good.

Cons

High Politics. Bad Culture. Poor quality of work. India is just for cost advantage. Data Scientist's are just creating models for presentations, calling R and Python libraries. For an AI company no software culture. Consulting company with lot of focus on marketing and fancy talk very little substance inside.

Ouch. Your advice to leaders is great: "Focus on real work, develop real products which add value to customer. Reduce politics." But these cons. They sting. They sting because we've all felt these tensions (and more) but so many of us are working hard to make Noodle.ai a company we love. Noodle.ai is growing quickly, we're young, and building real companies is hard – especially in a nascent market. (The phrase "Enterprise AI" didn't even exist on the internet before we used it on our home page in 2016.) Despite these challenges we're kicking butt. Our client portfolio is growing, and each client is growing their relationship with the company. A testament to the quality of work that our teams are doing across our communities. More importantly, you're surrounded by a cohort of engaged, devoted, and thoughtful colleagues who're building a company of which we all are proud. Each of our team members has a unique and valuable perspective on Noodle.ai. Please add your voice to a team that's fixing the problem you feel is most burning: talk to a Data Science Community Leader, or a Regional Community Leader, or the Culture Team, or post a note to #asksteve (the CEO), or #askmatt (Chief Data Science Officer), or form a team and invite me so we can work together to make our culture even better.

Pros

In our highly collaborative work environment, we cultivated a strong sense of community where everyone genuinely cared about the experiences of our candidates and employees.

Cons

One downside of working in a startup is the risk of investing significant effort in closing a search, only to have it abruptly affected by changes in funding or staffing needs.

Pros

For a startup this company is doing better than some larger tech companies in terms of mature operating models and investing in tools to drive efficiency. This company is truly building something innovative and ground breaking. The team is staffed with stellar individuals who have stayed scrappy, and are always willing to pivot as needed to deliver results. Executive leadership is transparent, They welcome feedback and ideas with an open mind and truly look to its people. There are no egos here. Other than no wellness stipend or 401k match, the benefits are great. As a working parent I appreciate the unlimited/flexible PTO.

Cons

Communication around internal processes and changes between teams is a bit disconnected. We need more real time updates and documentation for our SOPs. I know we are working on closing many gaps though and have a positive outlook.
