The firm is very transparent and provides a path to clearly show you what is expected for you to grow your career how you want. Also compensation is based on production allowing for you to have control of what you make. The firm also offers a trip after tax season in April every year.

Not a place you can skate by and coast. There are clear expectations and accountability. But there are monthly reviews with a manager or partner to check in and review where you are at.

They want to see me achieve my professional and personal goals. - You have more control over your pay than most public accounting firms. If you want to put in the work they will compensate you for it. - Like all accounting firms you work a lot in busy season but across the whole year total hours worked is probably on the mid to low end of public accounting. That being said the craziness in busy season also allows for more freedom in the off season.

- (not Davies Allen Specific but more industry specific) It is public accounting so you’ll be expected to put in the work during busy season. Which isn’t for everyone. It’s a lot of work and a lot of hours. - Under-performers and people who can’t self motivate will struggle working here and in public accounting in general. - Davies Allen is a place that will expect you to be accountable for the work you're doing. If that’s something that intimidates you, you should probably look elsewhere. If your looking for a place that will give you the honest critical feedback so you can grow as a professional, this will be a great place for you.
