First, let me start by thanking you for your feedback. We are not accustomed to receiving such negative reviews about our consistent, intentional dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our employees overwhelmingly tell us that they take pride in the mission-driven work that we do (helping the world manage risk) and the integrity of our DEI journey. Fostering an inclusive, respectful environment is at the heart of our culture and it is personally disheartening to hear of the “serious issue you have regarding our approach to DEI issues." One of our core values and driving behaviors is to “find a better way,” meaning we work urgently, thoughtfully and are driven to constantly improve. Our DEI strategy reflects that same drive for continuous improvement. DEI is a never-ending journey, rife with complexity, sure mistakes, and hard-earned lessons. Of course, there is an abundance of work to be done in challenging systemic inequities in the workplace….and in the world. As a leadership team, we hold ourselves accountable for enacting change and increasing representation in the workplace. It is fundamental to our mission.
I recognize that you have a different perspective and would love to continue the conversation and share perspective on the strength and integrity of our DEI strategy, initiatives, and tactics.
