Pros
If you're looking for a local tech company to work for in Hawaii, the list is not long—especially when it comes to those with a solid reputation. This company is one of them.
I joined after speaking with their leadership team, and what stood out to me was the trust and honesty I heard starting from the initial conversations. They didn’t set unrealistic expectations for Day1, which I took as a sign (and later confirmed) that I’d have the space to find my strengths and build value together with the team.
That said, I’d recommend coming in ready for challenges and a fast-changing environment. Compared to many mainland-based tech companies, I’ve found DataHouse offers more patience with newcomers and puts real effort into recognizing you as an individual. One of the things I appreciate most is their attempt to balance client needs with consultant well-being—something that's not easy in this industry, but they try, and that matters.
People here are generally awesome and genuinely great to work with.
Hard to beat the office with an ocean view.
Cons
The pay here is not as competitive vs. the mainland.
